COVID-19 Update
2/3/21: Since April 2020, all BEAM activities have been running online, including year-round programs (weekend classes, advising, mentoring, tutoring, and more) and summer programs (BEAM Discovery and BEAM Summer Away). We will continue virtual programming as we monitor pandemic developments. Moving forward, we will keep the health and safety of our students, staff, and community as our top priority.
For students who are interested in pursuing STEM in college, BEAM provides individualized advising and group meet-ups throughout college.
Students receive an advisor in college with whom they have video chats each semester and communicate regularly through text messages and emails. Students are also invited to in-person gatherings twice per year, joing again with their BEAM cohort.
Each summer as students near graduation, BEAM offers its network of connections to help students find internships and other opportunities. Many BEAM students also return to work for BEAM during the summer.
