Together, we can build a bridge to advanced mathematics for students from low-income and historically marginalized communities.
Potential is everywhere; opportunity is not.
While students from affluent communities often have access to deep and challenging math in and out of school, 72% of high-poverty high schools and 70% of high-minority high schools do not even offer any kind of calculus course, a critical requirement to pursue a STEM degree in college.
BEAM aims to close the opportunity gap.
We support our students from middle school through college with summer camps, enrichment classes, high school and college admissions advising, mentoring, career prep, and more.
This year, we’re celebrating five years of our BEAM Pathway program in Los Angeles with a 5x match that ensures any gift this holiday season will create even greater ripples of impact.
This match is funded by a generous matching grant of $1.6 million from our Board of Directors and major donors. Donations will be matched until matching funds are exhausted or until December 31, whichever comes first.
