(Non-BEAM) Summer 2019 Programs
We wish we had space in the BEAM Pathway Program for every BEAM Discovery Participant! Below you’ll find summer programs to help you keep growing mathematically. Some programs are free, and all tuition-based programs offer scholarships.

Free Programs
STEP: Baruch
Summary: Summer program at Baruch College for middle and high school students who are interested in pursuing careers in the STEM professions. The program invites eligible students to participate in workshops and enrichment courses in math, science, as well as SAT and college preparatory workshops. Free.

STEP: Fordham
Summary: Summer Program at Fordham’s Rose Hill campus to prepare students in grades seven through twelve (7-12) for careers in math, science, technology, health-related fields and licensed professions. STEP seeks to increase the representation of historically underrepresented or economically disadvantaged students in these fields.

Tuition-Based Programs (Scholarships Available)
Hypothekids steam up!
Summary: Program for middle school students interested in a project based learning approach to STEAM. This three-week long program will encourage scientists to tap into their creativity as they explore sustainability, engineering, and innovation while applying principles of biology, chemistry, and environmental sciences to real world problems.

The Harlem Math institute
Summary: A math summer camp that provides all kinds of math instruction, test preparation, and engineering including robotics, bridges, optics, and more!
Program Dates: 3 3-week sessions (starting 7/1, 7/22, 8/12)
